Description: This class focuses on rehabilitation following a total shoulder arthroplasty and a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. Shoulder anatomy and kinesiology will be reviewed. The common conditions that cause shoulder joint deterioration will also be covered.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate an understanding of shoulder anatomy
- Demonstrate an understanding of the typical conditions and occupational deficits that precipitate a shoulder arthroplasty
- Demonstrate an understanding of the typical therapeutic protocols for TSA & rTSA rehabilitation
The courses are approved by the New York State Board for Occupational Therapy for up to 2 Continued Competency Hours (CCH) (.2CEU)
