Location: Bauer Family Academic Center (BFAC) Room 302

Date:  November 5, 2018
Time:  5:00-6:50 pm

Description: Therapeutic interventions for common conditions of the thumb (CMC OA, CMC arthroplasty, Dequervain’s, UCL will be presented in this class. Thumb anatomy and etiology/pathology of the various conditions will also be covered.

Objectives:

  1. Describe anatomy of the thumb and the etiology of various thumb conditions
  2. Demonstrate and understanding of the role of an occupational therapist in providing therapeutic intervention to a client with various conditions of the thumb
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the appropriate protocol driven therapeutic interventions necessary to facilitate the healing process and improve occupational performance

The courses are approved by the New York State Board for Occupational Therapy for up to 2 Continued Competency Hours (CCH) (.2CEU)
