Location: Bauer Family Academic Center (BFAC) Room 302

Date:  September 10, 2018

Time:  5:00-6:50 pm

Description: This class provides an overview of the lymphatic system, the causes of lymphedema, and the impact of lymphedema on daily life. Both manual lymph drainage and bandaging/compression will be presented as methods of managing lymphedema.

Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the lymphatic system
  2. Define lymphedema and its potential impact on daily life/ADL
  3. Describe the therapeutic techniques associated with manual lymph drainage and bandaging/compression

The courses are approved by the New York State Board for Occupational Therapy for up to 2 Continued Competency Hours (CCH) (.2CEU)
