Full course description
Date: Tuesday, December 13, 2022 8:30am – 5:30pm
Cost: $250
Location: D’Youville University
Description: Go beyond the textbook and into the gross anatomy lab in this 8-hour course where we’ll explore key structures that are especially relevant to manual therapists. In this workshop, you will review and discuss musculoskeletal anatomy during a prosection presentation by D’Youville University Biology and Chiropractic faculty. Then, you will engage in palpation and examination at individual cadaver stations for a more profound understanding of the tissues and structures that you often treat, yet never see. (Note: cadavers for this workshop have already undergone dissection. Participants will not themselves be performing dissection.)
This course is a great resource for any manual therapist interested in a deeper understanding of human anatomy, such as massage therapists, yoga instructors, and personal trainers. To get the most out of the course, a basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology is recommended.
NYS licensed massage therapists will receive 8 hours of continuing education.
At this time, the course is only offered to manual therapists/practitioners. Proof of licensure/certification or training may be requested for verification.
